Here's a group shot of my collection of painted Dwarves. They make a nice bunch and I've a good few more to add.
Manufacturer-wise there are old and newer Citadel, Asgard, Heartbreaker (Ral Partha) and Black Tree Design. I think they all feel suitably Old School, with the possible exception of that chunky Ironbreaker dwarf. I'm tempted to go back and replace those more modern plastic shields with older ones. I have some of the sculpted Marauder ones, but I'd really like to practice painting my own.
I'm not sure which my favourite is, I'd have to choose between the wizard, the miner no doubt shouting 'Hi ho' or the Sureshot Norse dwarf I finished recently. My least favourite is the Ironbreaker. Leave a comment with your favourite (and least favourite).
If you want to see the individual dwarves in more detail, hit the dwarves tag (I might add links at some point, or not).
damn man, these are damn cool. anything dwarves im a sucker for.
ReplyDeletethese came really good. great job!!
i have several old school plastic dwarves from the warhammer fantasy regiment box set i need to get done.
Thanks. They've been great to paint. Which is your favourite?
DeleteI used to have loads of those plastic dwarves, I think I still have a couple, along with the original Psychostyrene dwarves. I guess they are due for an updated paint job.
And get yours painted and share pictures :)
I particularly like the old chap second from the left on the back row - very characterful. Good work on all of them, though. 🙂
ReplyDeleteThanks, he's certainly one of my favourites, there's just so much character to him. I like the wrinkles on his forehead too.
